The Rest of the Year at a Glance

So, obviously time has got away on us updating our blog, so we figured we'd do the rest of the year at a glance. We've had a pretty great year with some ups and downs. Lots of things to be thankful for!

We said goodbye to grandpa & grandma Z's house in the city as they prepared to move out to St. Anne.


We headed out to the Winnipeg Folk Festival for Ajax and his buddy Keith's first Festival.


We took a road trip out to the West Coast for Great Grandpa Bill's funeral.
















We stopped at the Seahawks Stadium on the way out of Seattle.


We made stops on the way home to visit more Zastres and Thiessens.






With a special stop to the Calgary's Biggest Skate Park.


Ajax ate for the first time at Grandpa and Grandma Z's new house.


Had his first bike ride.


Hung out with his buddy Keith once a week.


Got Sick for the first time.


But bounced back better then ever, he even took his first few steps.


Took a trip to St. Rose.






Dressed up for halloween.


Ate blueberries for the first time.


Popped Crazy teeth at the same time.


Had a mommy with a broken ankle for 2 months.


Had his first Band aid.


Enjoyed great play time with his buddies Abby and Kennedy.



Ate his first bowl of rice noodle & cheese.


Had many good laughs with his mom and dad!!!



Got to see his Uncle Carl for Christmas.


Had a really busy Christmas, despite having a bit of a cold.



Had a great first birthday too.



So there you have it, a year at a super glance. We wish you all a great new year! Hopefully this year we'll be a little more consistant about updating this.
As for recent news, Dad (a.k.a. Mike) is going back to school in November/08 to take Welding. We are very excited about this and hope that everything goes smoothly. Mom (a.k.a. Lani) has been sewing up a storm and plans to sell her stuff along with teach over this next year. Life is very busy in the Thiessen Zastre household. Well, it's getting late and we need to get some shut eye.

Father's Day

So in celebration of Father's Day, Ajax, mom and Grandpa Thiessen walked in the Manitoba Marathon 10 Walk, while Dad got to skate at the skate park. We later got together with Mike's family, where Ajax got to spend some quality time with Grandpa Zas. The following are photo's in honour of the Papa's.
